More FYI on dynamic assessment

On 3-24-05 I posted, in response to a question on the CHC listserv, an FYI regarding dynamic assessment references found in the IAP Procite Reference DataBase.

Today, on the NASP listserv, Dr. Mogens R. Jensen, Director of the International Center for Mediated Learning provided the following information that may be of interest to those interested in dynamic assessment. All usual disclaimers apply (I make no endorsement, etc. regarding the cite nor materials....I'm just serving as an information conduit):

  • "An overview of the work that more precisely guides the dynamic assessment model which will be shared at the June 13-17 training is available in two parts in Educational and Child Psychology, 2003, Vol. 20(2). The references are provided below. Both articles can be downloaded in the pdf format by clicking on Library at www.mindladder.org.
  • Jensen, M. R. (2003a). Mediating knowledge construction: Towards a dynamic model of assessment and learning. Part I: Philosophy and theory. Educational and Child Psychology, Vol. 20(2), 100-117.
  • Jensen, M. R. (2003b). Mediating knowledge construction: Towards a dynamic model of assessment and learning. Part II: Applied programmes and research. Educational and Child Psychology, Vol. 20(2), 118-142.
  • A comprehensive resource for published research on dynamic assessment is available at www.dynamicassessment.com."
